When lifting gets BORING, try these 3 Moves

Lifting in the gym is menial, thankless job sometimes even through menial jobs are not thankless. Lifting is thankless but wholly and beautifully rewarding too. Still though, putting in the time is putting on your hard hat, your badge and clocking in and everyone knows that clocking in gets trite AF with the quickness. 

 

Look, doing splits, sets and reps and melting into the samey gym environments leads to mental fatigue unless you choose to change. Change is the crux of development in the gym. And change is when and the “where” we see results and gains but we only need to shift a little to procure strength gains still. 

 

When your lifting days become boring and tiresome, make these meta-shiftsbut still remain STRONG

 

  1. Environment
    1. Tired of reps and sets and repeat, train in circuits of descending demands or TuT
  2. De-emphasize aesthetic goals
    1. Focus on body fat percentage, something which has life and health implications and not ephemeral ones.
